How to Set Up a Home Boxing Gym on a Budget

With smart planning, you can build a fully functional training space for under $500.

    Space Requirements

    Shadowboxing: 6ft x 6ft. With heavy bag: 8ft x 8ft. Full setup: 10ft x 10ft ideal.

    Essential Equipment

    1. Boxing Gloves β€” $60–$120

Get quality boxing gloves in 14oz or 16oz.

    2. Hand Wraps β€” $10–$15

180" hand wraps β€” cheap and essential. Buy two pairs.

    3. Heavy Bag β€” $100–$250

A 6ft heavy bag is the centerpiece. Mounting options: ceiling mount, wall bracket, or free-standing frame.

    4. Jump Rope β€” $10–$20

Best cardio tool for boxing. Get a speed rope with ball bearings.

    Budget Breakdown

    Gloves ($90) + Wraps x2 ($25) + Heavy bag ($200) + Mount ($30) + Jump rope ($15) = ~$360
